London based duo Fracture & Neptune aka Charlie Fieber and Nelson Bayomy have been on the drum & bass scene since the 90s. The pair met at college and shared the same love for both Jungle and Drum & Bass and begun their DJing career together. Their first release as Fracture and Neptune was in 2001 on legendary label Droppin' Science. A slew of releases on respected labels such as Inperspective, Bassbin and Hosptial ensued and the cosmic sound of Fracture and Neptune gained cult status in the Drum And Bass scene while also making waves outside the scene, appearing in DJ sets from the globe's most forward thinking electronic musicians such as Aphex Twin, DJ Food and Amon Tobin. After a succession of strong releases by 2009 Fracture and Neptune were ready to put out music on their own label and Astrophonica was born and raised.

Clissold / Killawhat? is the first release on Astrophonica and takes simple but effective engineering and groove techniques and applies them to Fracture & Neptune's cosmic sound.
